To date, DREAM has rehabbed nearly 15 homes in our neighborhood, bringing life and vitality back to 100-year old homes that had sometimes been vacant for a decade. We work with volunteers to prepare our properties and professional contractors for our construction.
Our portfolio includes homes that have been sold to new homeowners, homes that are now rental units, and homes rehabbed by families looking to join an intentional community-building effort.

DREAM aspires to build a mixed-income neighborhood and that means assuring permanent affordability of homes even as the neighborhood matures over time. The DREAM Community Land Trust will be our vehicle for permanent affordability. Today, we own several parcels that are put to productive uses in various ways, including a pocket park and flower field.
The Indus Detroit Artist Residency is a unique partnership between DREAM and faculty at the UM Stamps School who are building an eclectic home for artistic expression in the neighborhood.
The home opened in 2019 by hosting the month-long Halal Metropolis Exhibit and has since hosted our pilot artist-in-residence.
