Next250 is an ambitious initiative led by women of color social movement leaders, harnessing collective power to seize a once-in-a-generation opportunity to redefine America from the ground up. This moment presents an incredible opportunity to acknowledge the true histories of America’s first 250 years, declare the majority’s unity around a shared set of values for the next 250 years, and organize under a united narrative frame for intersectional power to reshape America’s next 250 years.

Dream of Detroit is excited to partner with the Next250 Initiative to host listening sessions bringing together organizers, storytellers, policy experts, faith leaders and community members to envision the future together and collectively, build something impactful.

The 2024 Black Muslim Psychology Conference (BMPC2024) explores the multifaceted intersections of belonging, home, migration [voluntary or forced], and identity. It will center the diverse narratives that shape individuals and communities in an ever-evolving landscape from past, present and into the future.

…A Place Where A Soul Can Rest

In partnership with DREAM, Detroit Downtown Synagogue, and Triumph Church, connecting to the Muslim, Jewish and Christian communities respectively, this initiative leverages the strengths and outreach capabilities of all partners. Our shared goal is to ensure that reliable information and essential resources reach residents across the city, and that those residents are receiving the news they care about and need.
