Waiver of Liability I have elected to participate in the Dream of Detroit Street Fair 3-on-3 basketball tournament organized by Dream of Detroit. Recreational sports and activities, including basketball, involve inherent risks of injury, death or property damage that no amount of care, caution, instruction or expertise can eliminate. Participation also exposes one to additional risks, whether inherent or not, caused by things such as conditions of property, equipment provided or conduct of others, including participants and spectators. Participant freely assumes all risks whether or not specifically delineated. I hereby affirm that I am in good physical condition and do not suffer from any disability which would prevent or limit my participation in this sport and any inherent exercises. If I do develop a physical condition, I agree to participate on my own voluntary accord, and will be allowed to withdraw voluntarily at any time. In consideration of my participation in the 3-on-3 basketball tournament, I, for myself, my heirs and assigns, hereby release Dream of Detroit, its employees and owners from any claims, demands and causes of action arising from my participation in the tournament. I fully understand that I may injure myself as a result of my participation and I hereby release Dream of Detroit from any liability now or in the future including but not limited to heart attacks, myocardial or ischemic incident, muscle strains, pulls or tears, broken bones, shin splints, heat prostration, knee/lower back/foot/shoulder or other orthopedic injuries and any other illness, soreness or injury however caused, occurring during, or after my participation in the tournament.
