On Sunday, March 26, at 7pm, we want to welcome you to DREAM’s 2023 Ramadan Fundraising Dinner at the Muslim Center.
Come out and learn about the evolution of DREAM as it’s transformed from a volunteer-led nonprofit to a bona fide community development organization on the cusp of providing transformative services to the residents of our entire neighborhood.
Our special guest for the evening will be Imam Johari Abdul-Malik, an inspirational leader and incredible speaker who served for many years as an imam in Virginia, as the Muslim Chaplain at Howard University, and as a board member and advisor to many national Muslim-led organizations. Imam Johari’s wisdom and experience run deep, and he’ll be bringing a powerful message.
This December will mark DREAM’s official 10-year anniversary, so this is one of several milestone events we’ll be hosting this year. It’s been several years since we’ve hosted a fundraiser like this and we need you in the room with us!
P.S. We were blessed to take Imam Johari on a little tour of the neighborhood last summer and pick some cherries along the way. He’ll be speaking from first-hand knowledge of what we’re trying to accomplish! Be sure to buy your ticket right away.
