Honoring a Legacy

On August 29, 2026, Detroit will gather to celebrate the life and lasting legacy of Imam Abdullah Bey El-Amin with the official unveiling of an honorary street sign at the corner of Davison Avenue and Woodrow Wilson.

For more than fifty years, Imam Abdullah dedicated his life to building stronger neighborhoods, strengthening interfaith relationships, mentoring leaders, and serving the people of Detroit with compassion and integrity. This public ceremony will bring together elected officials, faith leaders, community organizations, family, friends, and residents to commemorate his extraordinary contributions.

Your sponsorship helps make this celebration possible by supporting event production, community outreach, hospitality, signage, photography and videography, accessibility accommodations, volunteer coordination, and educational materials that preserve Imam Abdullah’s legacy.
